RTP compliant MP3 Audio Packetization for the Yima PE streaming system

ABSTRACT The objective of the project is to implement compressed domain audio streaming capability to the Yima Personal Edition (Yima PE) streaming system. This project aims to implement application layer streaming components based on Request for Comment (RFC) 2250 and 3119 profiles for Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) Audio layer – III. The components are then integrated with the Yima streaming server architecture and the performance of the system is evaluated for robustness to transmission losses and jitter.
